You just got the letter: Your FirstCarolinaCare Medicare Advantage plan is gone as of January 1st.

You're not alone. Thousands of North Carolina seniors are facing this same transition — and the December 7th enrollment deadline is approaching fast.

The good news? You don't have to figure this out alone.

What People Are Saying About The Insurance Center

"We recently switched to the Insurance Center in Pinehurst. Our agent, Caleb, has been amazing! I called him and left a voice message on Memorial Day evening with a question, and received a response within 10 minutes! He's very responsive, professional, and so easy to work with! I'm so glad we switched to the Insurance Center, and even happier we have such a great agent now. I highly recommend both."

Frequently Asked Questions

When do I need to find new coverage by?

The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period ends December 7, 2025. If you don't enroll in a new plan by then, you could face gaps in coverage, limited options, or get auto-enrolled into a plan that doesn't fit your needs. We recommend scheduling your consultation at least 2 weeks before the deadline so you have time to compare without rushing.

Will I be able to keep my current doctors?

That's one of the first things we check. During your consultation, we'll verify which plans include your current doctors and specialists—so you know before you enroll, not after.

What if I can't find a plan as good as my FirstCarolinaCare coverage?

You might be surprised. Many seniors we've helped have found plans with equal or better coverage than what they had. We'll compare your current benefits side-by-side with available options so you can see exactly where each plan stands.

Is there any cost for the consultation?

No. The consultation is completely free, and there's no obligation to enroll in anything.

How long does the consultation take?

Most consultations take 30-45 minutes. We'll take whatever time is needed to review your options and answer every question you have.

Am I obligated to enroll in a plan?

Not at all. We provide information so you can make an informed decision. You're free to enroll through us, another agent, or directly through Medicare—whatever works best for you.

What information should I have ready for the consultation?

Have these handy if possible: your FirstCarolinaCare member ID card, a list of your current prescriptions (name and dosage), and the names of any doctors or specialists you want to keep. Don't worry if you don't have everything—we can work with what you've got.
